Now in its 2nd Season, the Brendaliz Cepeda and Saul Penaloza Bomba Academy offers free Bomba Dancing and Drumming classes to the Greater Waterbury Community - two 10-week sessions teach students the basics of this Afro Puerto Rican musical style. Students graduate in the summer at the annual Bombazo / Barrio Arts Festival which is held annually in August.

This program is FREE - limited space - Registration is required. We are enrolling for Session 1 & Session 2! There are only 10 spots available for each of the two workshops - Bomba Drumming & Bomba Dancing. (Note to make space and ensure Max participants if you are registered for both classes Nelson will reach out to you to see which of the two you'd like to participate in more. To allow for 20 different people in each sub group.) You can participate in the second session in the opposite workshop you participated in the first session.
